We are convinced that players would trust us to generate the hands for this championship honestly.
Even so, we use software that lets us prove it — so nobody has to take our word for it.

About two weeks before the championships, if possible, we publish a file here announcing which sets of hands will be made. That file contains a signature that commits us to producing exactly those sets, built from two pieces of information:
A large number associated with the set, which stays hidden for now and is released only after play.
A value described in the file that nobody can know in advance — usually the Dow Jones Index on a set date before the championship.
After the tournament we publish the numbers for each set. Players can then run the software described below and verify that we did exactly what we promised.
No participant has to check anything. Even if nobody ever does, the fact that anyone can leaves no room for conspiracy theories.
