Katowice has a modern central railway station (Katowice Główny) located in the heart of the city with excellent domestic and international connections.

PKP Intercity operates hourly trains from Warsaw to Katowice. The journey takes approximately 2h 44m, with the fastest services completing the route in just 2 hours and 28 minutes.
🏔️ From Kraków
The train is faster and more comfortable for the Kraków-Katowice route, taking approximately 1h 10m. Tickets can be purchased at Kraków Główny station or in advance from the PKP train portal.
