Breaking Point?

By In 46th World Bridge Teams Championships On 26th August 2023

Could this be the round in which Sweden’s run is finally halted?

It does not look too difficult to reach 6Fiori on these cards, and that was the contract at 17 tables in the Venice Cup, including the Closed Room in the match between Sweden and Egypt where Marguerite Homsy and Dina Elwady had no trouble recording +1370.
When the result from the other room flashed up it saw Sanna Clementsson and Kathrine Bertheau playing in 5Cuori (perhaps an Exclusion misunderstanding?) which was a particularly severe breach of Burn’s Law of Total Trumps that cost 18 IMPs.
