📝 Availability Form (see section Schedule)

Schedule
In advance of the event, each team will receive an email from RealBridge, giving the times of play etc, and asking them to respond and give their exact availability on the playing days using a form which will be provided.
This is an Availability form. This will constitute a commitment to be able to play at those times. To facilitate scheduling across time zones, teams are asked to supply a total of at least 22 hours of availability. The Availability form must be returned to RealBridge by Monday 9 March 2026.
As soon as possible after this deadline, each team will be assigned to 12 or 13 matches at specified times within the periods that they are available. Where possible these will be grouped into larger sessions of several teams, each playing several matches in succession.
Match Draw will be sent to team captains by RealBridge on Monday 16 March 2026.
Entry Fees
The Entry Fee is 80 euros if received by WBF Accounts by February 27th, 2026.
After this date it is 100 euros.
All entry fees must be paid by March 16th.
Format
This is a transnational women’s event.
Teams can have up to 8 players. Players under the age of 16 on 1st January 2026 are not eligible to play. All players must be compliant with the WBF Eligibility Code, including being in good standing with their Federation. Each participant (player, captain or coach) must be a member of an NBO (either their country of birth or their country of residence) and must be registered in the WBF Database and must have a WBF Competitor’s Commitment Form registered since 2017 in place. Details of how to register and a copy of the form, which is digital and very easy to complete can be found by clicking here.
Since this is a transnational event, the players can be from different NBOs.
The event will be a partial Round Robin teams, played between Friday 27 March 2026 and Sunday 29 March 2026.
Each team will play 12 or 13 matches; each match will be 8 boards.
The winner is the team with most VPS. We don’t seem to have a provision for a tie.
Each match will be allocated 55 minutes, with 10 minutes between matches for teams that are also playing the next match.
Scoring: standard WBF VP scale. The winner will be the team with the most VPs.
The teams will not all be playing at the same time. The fact that the weekend is not the same in all nations has been taken into account in the scheduling system. Each team will have a schedule of dates and times, showing their opponents for each round.
The playing platform is RealBridge. There will be several opportunities to practice using the RealBridge platform in the weeks leading up to the tournament.
No team will play any earlier than a normal start time in their own time zone (typically 9 am). Teams will complete their matches no later than a normal end time in their own time zone (typically 11 pm).
• The closing date for entries is Monday 2 March 2026.
• Each captain must ensure that their e-mail address is provided and they should check it regularly for information or queries from the organizers.
• A team can change or add members up to 3 days before the event starts, which is Tuesday 24 March 2026 (subject to them being registered and eligible to play). Changed partnerships and added players must use one of the pre-registered system cards. Is this applicable anymore? Can this new partnership upload a new file. I expect they need to inform us first and then we (Francesca) allow the new system card.
• System cards must be registered by Monday 16 March 2026.
• Changes to System cards are possible by uploading a new file, which will overwrite the previous version.
Please note this is an official WBF event, and all tables will be recorded, monitored and potentially broadcast in line with standard WBF promotion and integrity requirements.
