Host City
Hefei
Hefei, the capital city of Anhui Province, is located in the hinterland of the Yangtze River Delta. Embracing the Yangtze River and Chaohu Lake, it connects the south with the north, serving as a national major transportation hub and a central city in the Yangtze River Delta.
As part of the Chaohu Lake Basin, an important birthplace of ancient Chinese civilization, Hefei boasts a time-honored history where the cultures of the Central Plains, Chu, Wu-Yue and Chaohu converge, giving birth to cultural icons such as the Youchao Clan, the Three Kingdoms, Lord Bao and the Huai Army.
Today, known as the "City of Innovation", Hefei has a strong foundation in science and education and a booming high-tech industry.
