Zero Tolerance for Inappropriate behaviour at the table
As we have stressed in both written and verbal communications the WBF has no tolerance for abusive, bullying, harassing and similar behaviour at our events. An incident occurred during play today (Tuesday) whereby an older man behaved inappropriately towards his young female opponent. Even if his intent was not malicious such behaviour cannot be tolerated – it is the feelings of the victim that are important.
The offender has been suspended from the current event and for the remainder of these championships.

Abridged bridge to bridge
All players should be aware that if they plan to travel to Hala Stulecia by car, their journey may take up to 20 minutes longer from Monday onwards. This is because repairs to the bridge that provides access to the venue will restart on Monday.
So please allow more time if you plan to travel by car. This should not affect the trams.
