- Systems information
All the systems for the National Teams are now registered and except in cases of force majeure, changes will not be accepted. The links to the system files are:
No new system can be added after the deadline for system submissions, i.e. a later player/partnership added must use one of the already submitted systems with minor amendments but it must be in the same category and not introducing any agreements/conventions that may require defensive preparation.
There is no requirement to pre-register system cards for any of the other events (Pairs or Teams) at the World Bridge Games.
Please check the following links for essential information about the registration of system cards.
Things to note:
- For the National Teams, Brown Sticker Conventions and HUM systems are permitted for the Knock-out stages only. They are not permitted during the Round Robin or in any other event at the Championship (teams or pairs). Such systems must be registered separately at the same time as the system for the Round Robin stages. In the case of BS cards, the correct forms must be used and registered at the same time.
- The cards must be prepared using the WBF Template in Word or Excel – players are reminded not to use either ‘Numbers’ or ‘Pages’ on a Mac as these do not convert correctly to PDF. Cards must be legible and print on two sides – cards that do not do so will be rejected. Supplementary sheets (maximum 6) must be cross referenced to the card.
- Cards and supplementary sheets may be sent in Word or Excel format or if possible as PDFs.
- Amendments to the cards to clarify bids, or correct typographical errors will be accepted up to 15th September. All amendments must be clearly highlighted.
- For all events, whether pairs or teams, players must have hard copies of their cards, correctly printed, to take to the table. No photocopying facilities will be available at the venue, so it is important that sufficient copies are brought to allow for cards being mislaid.
- Once all the cards are registered for a National team, that team will be sent the link to the other registered systems in that series.
