Open Pairs Format
At the end of the qualification 112 pairs will compete in Semifinal A and the remainder will play in Semifinal B.
Up to 24 pairs are eligible to drop in from the Rosenblum, so the minimum number of pairs who will qualify is 88.
The exact number will only be known only late in the evening, so we invite you to check the bulletin and the notices posted near the playing area to determine whether you have qualified or not. (Update: 93 pairs will qualify)
A total of 52 pairs will play in Final A and because up to 6 pairs may drop in, a minimum of 46 pairs will qualify from semifinals A and B combined.
It is anticipated that at least 40 of them will come from Semifinal A and a maximum of 6 from Semifinal B.
Women’s Pairs Format
At the end of the qualification 34 pairs will compete in Semifinal A and the remainder will play in Semifinal B.
Up to 12 pairs are eligible to drop in from the McConnell, so the minimum number of pairs who will qualify is 22.
The exact number will only be known only late in the evening, so we invite you to check the bulletin and the notices posted near the playing area to determine whether you have qualified or not. (Update: 28 pairs will qualify)
A total of 26 pairs will play in Final A and because up to 6 pairs may drop in, a minimum of 20 pairs will qualify from semifinals A and B combined.
It is anticipated that at least 17 of them will come from Semifinal A and at most 3 from Semifinal B.
Senior’s Pairs Format
At the end of the qualification 48 pairs will compete in Semifinal A and the remainder will play in Semifinal B.
Up to 12 pairs are eligible to drop in from the Rand Cup, so the minimum number of pairs who will qualify is 36.

A total of 34 pairs will play in Final A and because up to 6 pairs may drop in, a minimum of 28 pairs will qualify from semifinals A and B combined.
It is predicted that at least 24 of them will come from Semifinal A and at most 4 from Semifinal B.
